the founder of Unearthed Nutrition

Yara Baranova, holistic nutritionist and founder of Unearthed Nutrition in Sydney and Blue Mountains.

My path into nutrition began long before I formally studied it.

For years, I ignored and even feared the signals my body was sending me, until I became curious about how food, movement, and daily rhythms shaped the way I felt. That curiosity grew into a deep respect for the body’s wisdom and a desire to understand it through both lived experience and science.

When I transitioned into a deeper yoga practice and stepped into my role as a whole-food retreat chef at Happy Buddha Retreats in 2019, I witnessed how small, slow, gently integrated changes can transform the way people feel. Unearthed Nutrition is an extension of that work - created to help individuals reconnect with their bodies, honour their unique journeys, and learn the tools for long-term wellbeing.

As a clinical nutritionist, my focus is on understanding the whole you. My approach is grounded, evidence-based, and deeply human.

    Meanwhile, we will continue to dig deeper to uncover the root causes.

  • You will be provided with personalised treatment plans that honours your capacity - no overwhelm. Just simple, slow steps towards lasting change.

  • This stage is about dedicating sufficient time to restoring wellbeing beyond the initial symptoms - this includes achieving balanced nutrition beyond symptom relief, supporting your nervous system, hormonal balance, optimal movement patterns, and enhancing sleep quality.
